Awaken your senses…. Slow down …. Be present in the moment…. To whatever is happening around you and immerse yourself in the beauty and calmness of the now while sharing the experience with other like-minded people seeking for nature connection.

How is the experience?

I will be guiding from one of the last pre – mountain forests near the central valley of Costa Rica on a 2 hours experience. You can be wherever you want to be, either at home, close to a window, in your yard or in a forest. Everything serves and everything is welcome. I will have my camera and sound on, so you can also experience what is going on in Costa Rica.

On this experience, I will be guiding you via zoom through a series of invitations to connect to your surroundings through your senses. The sequence is designed to help you be present, slow down and become aware of details and things around you that you normally don’t perceive. Connecting through your senses opens up another layer of relationship with a place or a being

There has been found, that besides the physical benefits of being immersed in nature, there is also a calming effect when remembering and restoring our relationship with nature. We belong here and we are all part of this world. When this separation gap is closed, we have a sense of belonging long forgotten.

Who is the host?

Manuela Siegfried

Manuela Siegfried was born and raised in this beautiful, bio diverse country called Costa Rica. Having a biologist as a father, made contact with nature an intrinsic part of her life. This passion led her to work as a naturalist tourism guide for 3 years.

She came across the concept of Shinrin-Yoku and the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and immediately felt inspired and related to it. Manuela was trained and certified in 2018 and has been guiding very actively since then. She is passionate about helping people awaken their senses and slowing down in a natural setting so they can reconnect with themselves and the more than human world.

Falling in love again with the natural world helps to rediscover our innate, personal relationship with the forest and we become aware that we actually ARE nature. Manuela is also a mentor and trainer of guides with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and is absolutely committed and in love with her job.
